Help us help others!We are looking forward to seeing our clients, and your friends & family at our annual food drive and family fun skate, benefitting The Compass Community Outreach Centre.Get some exercise, enjoy a coffee or hot chocolate and some treats, while supporting a good cause. Donate a non-perishable food item. We will match the donations of food and deliver it to the community centre.Games & Kids-Draw for prizes, including three iPod-Shuffles!

Simmering Potpurri for Home Fragrance |
To give your home a fragrant aroma over the holidays, when entertaining or just to enjoy with your family, simply simmer home-made potpurri, on the stove, in an open small slow-cooker, or in a fondue container. Or you can combine the ingredients in a mason jar with instructions, and give it as a hostess gift. It will fill your home with a wonderful seasonal scent.
Here’s one simmering recipe to try:
Orange Spice
Combine these ingredients
Sliced Oranges
Cinnamon stick
Cloves (ground or whole)
Allspice (ground or whole)
Anise. (ground or whole)
Directions
Place ingredients in your choice of cookware (stove top, slow cooker, or fondue). Add water. Simmer all day.
Warning: Do not leave unattended.

Comic Relief
A Slobovian called her boyfriend and said, “Please come over here and help me. I have a killer jigsaw puzzle, and I can’t figure out how to get it started.” Her boyfriend asked, “What is it supposed to be when it’s finished?”
“According to the picture on the box, it’s a tiger.”
Her boyfriend decided to go over and help with it. She let him in and showed him where she had the pieces spread all over the table.
He studied scene for a moment, then looked at the box, then turned to her and said, “First of all, no matter what we do, we’re not going to be able to assemble these pieces into anything resembling a tiger.” He took her hand and then said, “Second, I want you to relax. Let’s have a nice cup of tea, and then…” He sighed…
“Let’s put all the Frosted Flakes back in the box…”
